Zoom! Is Here!
Zoom! Chairside Whitening System is a scientifically advanced tooth whitening procedure. It is safe, effective and fast. In only one office visit, your teeth can become dramatically whiter. Zoom! is ideal for anyone looking for immediate results. The convenience of Zoom! makes it the choice for the busy individual.
The procedure is simple. It begins with a short preparation to cover your lips and gums, leaving only your teeth exposed. The Zoom! dental professional then applies the proprietary Zoom! whitening gel, which has been scientifically made to be used with the Zoom! lamp. The Zoom! lamp and the whitening gel work together to gently penetrate your teeth, breaking up stains and discolorations. With proper care and maintenance, your smile will have lasting sparkle.
Tooth whitening is a cosmetic dental procedure well established for its safety. The whitening process is effective on most discolored teeth. Darker stains, such as those caused by antibiotics, are more difficult to lighten. Results will vary from patient to patient, depending on the structure of the teeth.
Please call our office if you have any questions and we will help you maximize your smile with the Zoom! Whitening System.
CHECK OUT OUR NEW DIGITAL X-RAYS!
We have recently converted our practice from film to digital x-rays with the purchase of Kodak”s state of the art digital radiography system. We have the ability to take high quality images in seconds, while using less radiation. The images are available immediately, no wait to develop the films – images are on screen for immediate and more accurate diagnosis. This translates to shorter office visits for you.
As comfort is always our top concern, our new digital radiography system is shaped with rounded corners for a better experience for our patients. The system comes in three sizes, allowing us to treat adults and children.
Additionally, our new digital sensors are better for the environment as they enable us to eliminate the chemicals used to process the films. Digital radiographs are available immediately and can easily be emailed for referrals and insurance companies.
Patient care is our primary concern. We feel this system helps significantly improve the care and comfort for our patients.
We are excited to announce the introduction of Waterlase Dentistry to our practice
Why Waterlase Dentistry?
Doctors have used lasers for years to provide better care for their patients – in LASIK vision correction, for removing skin blemishes, and in all kinds of surgery. Now, thanks to Dr. Burns and Dr. Lape, you can benefit from advanced laser technology for your dental care, with Waterlase Dentistry.
Dr. Burns and DR. Lape have chosen to invest in Waterlase to provide you with the highest standard of dental care. Here are some of the benefits you will experience with Waterlase.
More Comfortable
Waterlase Dentistry uses laser energy and a gentle spray of water to perform a wide range of dental procedures – without heat, vibration and pressure associated with the dental drill. With many procedures, it is possible to use less anesthetic, and often no anesthesia at all.
More Convenient
Your Waterlase Dentists can often get you in and out of the dental chair faster, since it is less likely that you will need an injection. Research shows that the vast majority of patients don’t. It’s nice to avoid that shot isn’t it? Not using anesthetic can allow your dentist to perform procedures that used to require more than one visit, in a single appointment. Also, a Waterlase Dentist can perform procedures that one meant an additional trip to a specialist, saving you even more time.
More Precise
A Waterlase Dentist can remove decay far more precisely than a dentist using a drill. This saves more healthy parts of your tooth. Saving the natural teeth can save you from the discomfort and cost of bridges, dentures and implants.
Improved Cavity fillings
Waterlase cavity preparations can increase the bond strength of tooth colored restorations resulting in longer lasting fillings.
Less Bleeding and swelling
Due to it’s conservative, gentle cutting action and coagulating capabilities, the Waterlase performs many procedures on the gums with little or no bleeding and less post-op swelling.
